The nearest district for nightlife to Mas Pau is in Figueres. Just on the way into the town, in the Plaça del Sol, there are several late-night bars. We recommend the “Café el Federal”, with a surrealist décor and lots of atmosphere. In summer it has a wonderful interior patio (ask at Mas Pau reception for exact directions).
Roses, 17km. away.
Right on the seafront in Roses, on the way into the town is the café bar “Si Us Plau”, open day and night, with unbeatable views. In the centre of Roses, with a splendid terrace in the patio of a beautifully-decorated old house, we recommend the bar of “L'Hort d´en Minguets”. If you like jazz, there is another legendary venue in the centre of Roses: “El Barbarosa”, where the bebop and beer froth blend together in a warm, pleasant atmosphere.
Lladó, 8km. away.
Bar Queta, a small place with a youthful atmosphere, which is usually fun.
Perelada, 12km. away.
The famous international music festival is held throughout the summer in the gardens of the castle of Perelada, a historic building which is well worth a visit. For lovers of games of chance, one of Catalonia's three casinos is housed inside the castle itself. |
